It is today that a dream
Was conceived, born out of
A vision
A need for a better tomorrow
A need for a chance to rise up
It is on a day as today
A day that will change
My life, though I was
Not yet conceived.
It is today that we celebrate
The passage of 35 years
Of wonders
Of trust
And of faith
Of resources put to the maximum use
Of people living up to the dream
I will not wrap myself in a flag and celebrate a day meaninglessly.
Everyday I strive for my country’s excellence
[With our hands, we build our country]
These are not empty words
I will translate them into actions
I am a proud Emirati.
It is not the end.
It is a humble beginning to
A very long road that
Lies ahead, more challenges arise
More dreams are born
More and much more.

I posted it on the 2nd, but as always the blof life cheats me. my friends also told me that there was nothing on that. I myself saw it on the WWW. on the 16th!!!!
